Vegas was founded on 15 May and stands at m above sea-level. Vegas is a very popular international tourist and resort city known for gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment and nightlife. Vegas bills itself as the Entertainment Capital of the World and is famous for its major casino hotels and associated activities. It is also one of the top three destination in the USA for business conventions and a global leader in the hospitality industry, claiming more AAA Five Diamond hotels than any other city in the world.
Las Vegas was officially incorporated as a city in At the close of 20th century, a similar distinction was earned by Chicago in the US State of Illinois, in the 19th century. Rapid growth has continued into the 21st century and according to the US Census Bureau, the city had thousand residents in and a metropolitan population of over 2,2 million people. Its history is shortly that Nomadic Paleo-Indians travelled to Las Vegas 10 years ago, leaving behind petroglyphs, a fancy name for rock carvings.

Our family used Las Vegas a springboard to fly in a small plane to the top of the Grand Canyon from where we flew in a helicopter to the bottom of the Canyon where we took a boar ride on the Colorado River.
